I’m sort of sick of reading all these Google-ranked review pages that continuously tout whether an XYZ casino is legit or not.
Why? because nothing original comes out of such content.
It’s the same old soup of words; like this casino is great because it has 4.0 ratings (trust me bro, because I said so) in terms of withdrawals, support, games and blah blah. There’s nothing of value that can give a reader of such reviews a sense of what actually makes a betting site different from the rest of the herd.
I guess this is why I started Casino Visuals. It was to give my own no-BS take on casinos, who frankly are here to make bank. They get rich when their patrons go broke.
Steering back to my point; if you’re here to find out if Bitstarz will rig its slots to make you lose. Then, as far as my own playing experience with them goes; it’s a may be, because what I have read about them on the internet sure does tell a lot.
Rigged or not; even the fairest of slot machines, does not mean that you’ll have an edge. That always remains with the house, or in the case of slot sites; the actual coder of these games.
So, though I lost a good bunch testing this joint out, $595 to be exact, I still believe they wouldn’t deliberately scam you – until you start winning big. That’s where the dramas and the dirty games unfold. Keep reading and you’ll know why I said this.
How does the internet really feel about Bitstarz
There are some well detailed stories on Reddit about how they do scam people out of their winnings.
Like this one, where this Reddit user claims to have been a VIP player, who deposited over $100K, and when he won 2.29 BTC on their Blackjack tables, and a slot called “Beast Band,” they closed his account and stole his money on some made-up pretext, even though he provided them with his ID documents. Bitstarz also ended any room for talks, turning the matter non-negotiable and irreversible.
I call it BS.
So, although Bitstarz never posted their side of the story. I don’t think their staff ever posts on Reddit. I do tend to take this complaint seriously, because it’s not the only one out there. For example, this Reddit user claims that Bitstarz is cheating and abusing their provably fair system and even uploaded video proofs of how he could not change the client seed of Bitstarz Originals game called Plinko. Thing is if the operator knows the client seed, they can easily predict the future outcome of the game.
The OP explained it this way:
The game outcome is a random number. To make sure its fair, as in no one knows the outcome before it happens the games uses 3 numbers and math to get the outcome. They are
Server Seed: A secret random seed generated by the gaming site, unknown to the player.
Client Seed: Chosen by the player, this seed can be updated in account settings for added control.
Nonce: A number that increases with each box opening, ensuring unique outcomes.
In my case I am not able to change my number that I give to the server with every spin so they don’t need to see my number every round. All they need to know is that the player cannot change it so every round that number will be the same.
It’s not just these two cases, I found another one that calls Bitstarz terrible, claims to have deposited $2k, ended up losing it all and also getting banned.
I also went through their Trustpilot profile, which was of course filled up with fake reviews, with a mix of “low-rated real ones,” with the same stories i.e., Bitstarz locked my account after I won big and wanted to withdraw.
Right, this is what the honest part of the web says. I mean the content that is not affiliate-commission-enticed. You’d probably read plenty of awesome reviews, that detail out every inch of the features and perks this place has to offer, minus the authentic inputs from real people.
What my own experience was like
By the way before we move forward, Bitstarz has a great alternative too. For example, Wild Casino, where I’ve played many times. Won and lost tons. Here’s my experience story on it.
Thing is it doesn’t matter what my experience turned out to be because I never got to the point of actually withdrawing any funds from my Bitstarz account.
What I can say is that the onboarding process was pretty straightforward. I signed up, filled up the form, got my SMS code, deposited the funds through a BTC transfer. It all took like 20 minutes at best.
Mind you, it does take US players, provided one uses only cryptocurrencies for deposits and withdrawal of funds. In fact, it can take players from most regions of the world, as long as crypto is used for banking.
The games were just like you’d find at any other crypto casino. Perhaps, a small change was their “Originals” which are basically rebranded slots with Bitstarz’s own logo. Kind of like a cheap China copy of popular games like Keno, Limbo, Mines, Crash and so on.
Thank God, I did not take any bonus. Because if I had taken that, and won anything substantial, Bitstarz would have most probably closed my account too. LOL.
But seriously, it isn’t funny, especially when the nature of such activities is scam-intentioned.
By the way, if you feel a bit eww-ed out by Bitstarz, thinking it would have been a great match for you, but now you don’t know any better, may be go ahead and Google its competitor called Stake. I’ve not personally tested it (yet, but intend to). A cool thing about it is that they have automatic withdrawals enabled, so one does not have to go through all this nonsense of ID verifications, which tons of crypto-focused casinos use as an excuse to shut down accounts that have big winnings in them.
So, is Bitstarz a Yay or Nay? Well, you must personally test them out first to see if they do process winnings over $1,000, especially if your “total deposit amount” was lower than that. Only then you would be able to formulate an opinion on their ethics as a company.
And even if they play fair; I would say to proceed with caution.
