A guy wins his first ever handpay playing the Huff N’ Even More Puff slot, says he’s still ‘shaking’

A good win story always warms my heart. I mean I’m no fan of these large casinos sucking billions of dollars out of players.

And I feel even more elated when the win is like 10000X the bet.

A Redditor shared a similar story of winning $15,412 handpay (his first ever, which makes it so cool) playing the Huff N’ Even More Puff slot machine at Ameristar in Blackhawk Colorado.

Funnily he was so excited, he got lost for words and just wrote this:

Shaking

Reminds me when I won $11k at Wild Casino. Similar feelings. But, then I lost it back to them too. Read my story, and you will find it quite interesting.

Take a look at the photo he posted. This is one of those funky fancy curved slot machines:

You can clearly see how he bet only $1 per spin. This makes it so much better.

There wasn’t any shortage of Redditors being amazed at his luck.

Here is what a few said:

Literally don’t think this is the norm because it’s not. You just got a once in a lifetime win. Don’t lose it all back! Take like $1000 to play with and keep the rest for yourself!

I find this to be a sound advice. Hope this guy takes it in. I mean he should really keep a good chunk of it for paying the pending bills or taxes or car payments. I mean whatever, other than eagerly giving it back to the casino.

There were two other Redditors who shared a similar experience; one claiming that one of his buddies mom won $11k, while the other won $800 on a 75 a cent spin on Wild Wild Buffalo.

Then another guy came in bragging his $18k win, again on a 75-cent spin.

A seasoned gambler then jumped in the conversation, and mentioned himself dropping $5 to $10 per spin making $1250 to $1400 jackpots.

An amazing one. my average handpay is right over the threshold – usually $5-$10 spins giving me $1250 – $1400 jackpots.

The risk here is high for sure, but then the way slot machines are programmed, higher risk generally gives back higher amounts to keep it fair for the gambler.

One Redditor even recommended others to never ever leave the slot machine whenever a handpay jackpot (a win where the casino staff comes out at the slot machine, verifies the win and then approves the cash out) is involved.

A frequent casino visitor then posted his opinion:

The players card systems get notified when the machine locks up, so if you just sit in the chair someone will eventually come. But it’s totally fine to get up and look around to see if you can find one yourself. As long you don’t go halfway across the casino it’s near impossible to steal someone else’s jackpot, because you’ll see them trying to do that when you walk back and security will check the tapes and clearly see its your jackpot. Then the thief gets banned and everyone is happy (except the thief).

So, even if you accidently left the slot machine to look for an attendant, chances are high you would not be denied your win.

Anyways, hope you loved today’s real life gambling story.
