This looks like more of a rant to me. In fact it is. I mean this is what the Redditor says in the end anyways.
So this guy on Reddit recommends people good honest casinos, where he’s played at but he isn’t appreciated enough. In fact, he’s often seen as a paid marketer or a shill, a scammer and by other nasty names by fellow Redditors. He wanted to let out his frustration, basically out of his system:
I’m getting so tired of these posts where people ask, “Is this casino legit? Is that casino legit? What should I avoid?” I try to help by suggesting a reliable casino I’ve personally used—one that actually works—and suddenly, everyone’s a detective trying to “expose” me. “It’s fake,” “You’re a shill,” “This is a scam!” Like, seriously? Why do you even ask for advice if you’re just going to treat everyone like they’re lying?
It’s crazy how people are more willing to believe random conspiracy theories or shady sites with absurd promises, but when someone comes along with a real recommendation, they go full Sherlock Holmes trying to poke holes in it. Meanwhile, they’ll ignore good advice and then post a week later about how they’re having problems cashing out.
I’m not here to sell you something; I’m just trying to share what’s worked for me. If you don’t trust anyone, fine. But stop wasting people’s time asking for advice if you’re not even open to listening.
End of rant.
It had plenty of good replies. The first person even blamed the entire subreddit, claiming that half of the people that post there are free bonus scammers or affiliates posting their links without warning the users of the Terms involved, and the other half are just jealous and post negative comments whenever people share the screenshots of their wins.
Like they want others to lose, but themselves to win.
A user then agreed with this assessment, marking it similar to what happens in the real physical casinos, where if you keep losing at a slot machine and then quit to move over to the next one, and some other guy comes in and wins big, you suddenly start believing that he stole your win because it was your losses that lead to his good fortune.
Then another Redditor gave a more sober reply, telling players to avoid casinos that offer larger than life bonuses with 40X to 50X playthrough requirements, something that is normally not possible to complete, unless one keeps on depositing. This alone should be a red flag for most.
The OP concurred, again blaming the players who are too unsophisticated. Like such people immediately start believing that just because they could not finish the bonus requirements, it automatically makes a casino a scam, and any one recommending it, a scammer.
But then another user asked the OP to lay down the metrics. He questioned his rant and wanted him to understand that people being skeptical is only natural. After all in order to judge a casino, a reviewer must provide in-depth details like data on withdrawal times and customer service chats. Some proof that proves the OP’s point of being a genuine recommender of honest casinos.
You can’t just walk up to a person and play the “trust me bro” card and expect him to comply willy-nilly.
Then the OP countered saying that he does provide such info wherever possible. But, it’s also not feasible for him to keep making new posts and show the entire world his banking transactions to prove a point.
Anyways, this entire discussion has some good pointers. Sure, anyone is free to recommend any casino to anyone. But, then as far as I’m concerned, you better back that up with some kind of data that proves your point, right?
I’m not asking you to post your bank details or anything like that, but say a screenshot of an actual processed-withdrawal, or a customer services chat transcript is more than enough to set the record straight and add in the authenticity to make the recommendation look legal.
Or alternatively, why bother? Like at all. You won, you got paid and you’re happy – like I was when I won $11k at Wild Casino; but then lost it too. And if you want to guide some newbie bettor in the right direction, go for it and ignore all the haters.
Just act cool and calm because you’re a good person. And not for the upvotes.
